The Lord has given believers His Spirit – The Holy Spirit – as a deposit guaranteeing the Lord’s return. His Spirit also was given so that you may serve those around you. Those around have been placed there intentionally by God so that you may serve them with the supernatural abilities that only the Holy Spirit can provide. The people you interact with in your home, neighborhood, work, and elsewhere are your Church! We need to be the example for the church we serve. In Acts 20:28, it tells us to be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with His own blood. Pray today and ask God to reveal to you how to serve the people at your church. The church is not a building; the church is a body of believers whose shared purpose is to honor and reflect God here on earth.
